Apple renamed iPhone OS to iOS with version 4, released on 21 June 2010. It added multitasking (in a limited form), home-screen folders, wallpapers, a unified inbox, FaceTime on the iPhone 4, and iBooks. The iPad got iOS 4.2 in November, bringing AirPlay and multitasking to the tablet.
